Check out the prices that are being asked for Winchester Garands, for example.

Here's 2 priced over $1000. Guess what the REAL value of these guns is? About $600 each, MAX. Ross, kind of makes the deal I got from Tuber look real good, doesn't it? It's about the same time period, and is not refinished, like these 2 are (and that drops the value).
BS, that's nothing more than preying on the public.
When stuff is selling at prices OVER retail, then, yeah, I have to say there are no deals there. And I have seen numerous items over retail on GunBroker.
This particular pistol, the dealer probably paid a pittance for it, and is smart enough to start high. He hasn't lowered his price, so, I think he's a fool. Of course, he SHOULD have done a Reserve Bid Auction, and made his reserve high. But then again, he's dumb enough to try to get $6500 for a gun that he has no clue of the value of, and ADMITS it. Again, DUMB.
