Storage boxes for vehicles Add your links

I've wondered what MA law would have to say about these. It's clearly a locked container, but outside the vehicle (or at least exposed to the outside). Any thoughts? Would it be just like an after market trunk?

What if it was not bolted down? (there is a guy that goes to my range that keeps a couple of cheap steel safes in the back of his pick up that he locks. It is under a false floor in the bed of the truck and pulls out to get access. This seems like a REALLY bad idea to me).

Oh yeah:

It is only outside the vehicle when in an open pick up. They are great in a SUV, sedan, or pick up with a cap.

If it is not bolted down, why have it?? Kind of defeats the purpose don't you think?

Ummmmmm...The NES main page is, by far, the best forum I've seen, but I don't know if it's really made for vehicles? [rolleyes]
Fixed it.... I musta pasted the wrong link in!

Here's one I had made from Crow River Fabrication.
I gave them a drawing of what I wanted and I had it fabricated and shipped to me within a couple weeks.
Price was fair and the people were great to deal with.
The box is Aluminum and very well made.
The "Truck Vault" box is quite nice - I had one in my last SUV, but their price was much higher.
