Not a known NESer,
but an omnipresent member of the New England amateur radio scene...
...in particular,
if you visited the monthly Flea at MIT,
if you found a local ham flea market from the New England list,
you benefited from Steve's efforts.

He passed away on Friday night; see the memorial on his QRZ page.

Best 73's Steve...

RIP, OM.

It would be a virtual drinking game with the neon MIT pamphlets at every single ham event in NewE that I have attended.

He was dedicated to promoting the flea. Honestly will miss the flyers.

Wow, thanks for the news...Steve was a great guy and very smart. I got to chat with him a few times at Nearfest over the years...He was always moving at the ham fests...I swear he had the metabolism of a hummingbird.

RIP OM.

I'm a bit late peeking back into this thread.
I've known Steve since I got my ticket in 1993, I've been to many MIT fleas, as well as Hoss Traders and Near-Fest events, he was always there handing out his flyers.
Interesting guy to talk to, he knew a lot.
IIRC, one of the MIT repeater ID's was under his call sign.

RIP
