Steel 80% AR Build

There was some mention in another thread of the weld together 80% AR lowers. One of the guys on my forum just finished up building one of these. I thought you guys might be interested in seeing one of these going together.

what thickness is that metal? It looks like straight forward cut out on a CNC plasma or laser. Very cool build.

Not Me comrade, i get all my 7.62x51 lovin' through my two FALs, M-1919 and custom Mauser. But I think that you'd look good behind one. lol

It looks like that's how they were cut. You can see a small heat affected zone in the pic on the other forum. 4 layers for the trigger guard area. I'm guessing 3/16 thick?

This thread gives me ideas. I can weld and shape steel at home whereas aluminum I cannot weld... I'm not talking about your an AR in .223, here.
