Personally when I was down there last, I went to this place.

Theres this one too:

http://boston.centralparking.com/ has a full list. I live in western mass, so paying to park isn't something I really ever do, so I haven't the slightest idea what the "going rate" is, and for the few times I ever have to pay in Boston, the prices there didn't bother me.

Anybody else from Western Mass going? I'm not very familiar with Boston and would love to carpool. I'd rather not drive but I'm happy to help pay for gas, tolls, parking, and I'll even buy you a hamburger.

If we have enough from the area, maybe we could meet somewhere western/local to consolidate, carpool and caravan out. PM me if you're interested.

Everyone the point is to attend at YOUR State Capitol. If there are even small groups at all 50 it sends a message. I will go to more than one event. Why are some of you stuck on the idea of only attending one event? Seems awfully defeatist to me.

As far as the list goes it would be easier to sign up on the FB Page event page I posted. Here is the link:

Is CCW allowed on the T nowadays? I haven't ridden the rattler since I lived in Brighton back in the 70s. I checked their website couldn't find any info on restrictions other than random checks for explosives.

Ccw anywhere you want just not federal buildings. The t doesn't have pat downs.

I just have to laugh when I see sig lines like "From my cold dead hands" etc, from people who won't even get off the couch long enough to try to do something productive. Yeah, right. These are the same wienies who will be marching lock step down to the PD to turn them in, should it come to that.

Iirc we both had our rifles there as well!
Fwiw I tried to reach out to a contact at the State house, but he has retired

I'm going and I can pick up 5 and still have room to breath. Starting from westford.PM me if you want to car pool.

Also bringing a sign. Thinking one that says - Because parents are supposed to protect their children. What think you?

I'm proud of the majority of responses here. You all give me faith that we can win this fight. I will be coming from Lowell for anyone who wants to carpool. I will make the sign I posted in the OP.

I think we should all dress professionally and bring a tasteful and factually correct sign. I know this seems daunting, but we need to be heard. I wish GOAL/Comm2a would get involved here.

Comm2A can not lobby. I do believe this would be considered lobbying.

GOAL is a staff of 5. What do you want them to do?

Im going to try to make it but no promises, however for signage, given that the media and the antis like to portray us all as "gun nuts" I like a sign that says something like this,

I'm a CAD Drafter
I'm a Father
I'm a Gun Owner

I think its message is clear, we are normal everyday people who support the 2nd amendment, It doesnt leave anything open to interpretation, it cant be twisted by media. I think pretty effective but this is coming from my head so who knows [laugh]

It's spot on.

My thoughts overall are that we need to bring back 'normal' to gun ownrship.

Maybe add in there, and im your neighbor?

Sent from my mobile device.

If you really want to "reach out across the aisle", you should try to get members of Pink Pistols to join in. The email address for the head guy on their website bounced back to me, but I was able to send a message to the head of their main group in San Jose, per below...

I'm a gun owner and life-long advocate for equal rights for the LGBT community.

Some groups I'm involved with are trying to build critical mass (no pun) for a pro-2A rally on Saturday, January 19th and I was wondering if there is anyone in your Boston chapter I might be able to engage on this.

Here's a thread discussing the details:

Thanks in advance for your attention to this, and for your strong advocacy on ALL civil rights fronts!

Sincerely,
(30Mauser)

I haven't read this whole thread but just watched the video - while I think nutnfancy is kind of a blowhard - I'm pissed at what is going on and I NEED to do something. Even if I just stand around and sing Kum-by-ya for a couple of hours and get COUNTED as a responsible gun owner - it's better than doing nothing.

I'm in. PM inbound dong, I'm in the area.

Just skimming this thread and assuming:
- "in" means "I'm coming"
- "kids" means two
- "few" means two
- "several" means two

Iram, that's a good list. Please make your total 55 as I'll be attending as well. We need to get the message out that gun owners are regular everyday folks and not some hidden scary stereotype afraid to show our faces.
