I've been away for a couple weeks and missed the honor of standing along Barksdale st., Hanscom AFB (were I work) for the return of Staff Sergeant Alex R. Jimenez to Mass.

R.I.P - from a former 10th MTN member / fellow service member / fellow hispanic. It hits home when you have soooooo much in common.

This deserves a thread. Best wishes to the family.

There have been a few different signs between Haverhill and Andover (where I work) and all of them have the Sgt's name on them. Coming from 93 on to 110 north in Methuen, there's an electronic road sign that says the Methuen Police honor him. There's a bridge that crosses Rte. 213 (a connector from 495 to 93) that's maintained by a vetrans group. There's signs up there all the time with names of those that have come home. SSgt. has 3 signs up there now.

It's always sad when we lose one, but it hits a bit harder when it's close to where you live and you see the names of the ones who didn't make it.
