Hi guys,
I signed up for memberships with both NRA & GOAL last Friday, and ever since then I've been getting copious amounts of unrelated spam at the email address that I used. Curious if anyone else has had this happen. I would like to think that neither of these orgs would sell their mailing lists to spammers, and that this is just a coincidence somehow, but if that's the case I'm not sure how else to explain it. I've not entered that email address anywhere else online in quite a while.

NRA will only send you stuff gun related. If you're getting pill ads, then they come from somewhere else.

If you don't want NRA stuff emailed or snail mailed to you, call them and let them know. They will stop sending you stuff. I'm a Life member and I get virtually nothing from them.

Have you purchased anything online? The merchant is a much more likely candidate than either of those organizations.

No, I haven't entered this email address for anything online for at least 3 or 4 months. I have a different email address that I generally use for purchases. The spam started the day after I used this email address for my NRA & GOAL memberships. Odd.

This isn't NRA or GOAL related spam.... it's everything from pills to home loans. I'm talking approx. 100 - 200 emails a day. [thinking]

Well the pill ads are probably from surfing too many porn sights, not sure about the home loan stuff, though.[smile]

That's the one of the awesome benefits for becoming an NRA member. SPAM. Who don't love SPAM? [laugh]

Haha! That is frowned upon here at work. Anyone need cheap Oxy without a precription? Wow.. this could open up a whole new world of opportunities for me, lol.

j/k [wink]

Yes, it could make a nice second income for more toys to fill your safe! I was thinking that the ads were for those little blue pills.[laugh]
