Sox Slugger JD Martinez defends 2nd Amendment

Writer of the article tries to discredit JD by saying this:

“The rhetoric of invoking Hitler is indefensible because it trivializes what he and the Nazis did,” Godwin said yesterday. “It’s historically inaccurate to state that Hitler wanted to take people’s guns away. If anything, he wanted all citizens to have guns, except Jews.

Does that not prove JD's point?

It does prove JD's point.
The writer of the article is jerk and probably a socialist like the NAZIs were (and wants to disarm American citizens) and JD's use of the meme was for anti gun confiscation/control purposes and was spot on. JD for President in 2024!!!

How many pictures of our attorney general have appeared in this forum decorated with a "toothbrush" mustache? Clearly Martinez was using the image of Hitler to represent tyranny, not because he admired him in any way shape or form.

I would say so.
Trivializing the fact he only took guns from the people he planned to murder is the real d-bag statement.

So, according to the sports writers criticizing JD's history knowledge, tyrannical governments no longer disarm their citizenry as a means of oppressing them? I guess I missed the press conference.

Putting it on social media is bringing it up

So then by that same standard you shouldn’t share your beliefs on social media as well right? Including NES.

It’s one thing for people to jump on tv and spout their beliefs or at award shows etc. Its something entirely different when it’s someone’s personal social media.

I’m not one of these people that get worked up when a celeb starts talking down to us plebes about what we should be doing in our lives because I don’t much care what they think.

Not at all. Share whatever you like on social media. Just understand social media isn’t personal anymore. Hasn’t been for a long time. People lose jobs over social media posts for god sake. Every thing we post on social media, here or elsewhere can have repercussions. Talking about something in an interview and posting it on social media are the same damn thing today. There is no difference. This guy being a professional athlete was begging for confrontation by putting that out there. I support his position but I really wish these athletes would focus on the game and nothing else. It’s the main reason I won’t give any more of my time to the nfl.

His history may not be perfect but the douchebag sports writer phaggots are missing the real point of his post, which was more or less, "Want to stop this kind of tyranny? then citizens should be armed. "
That is on purpose. They want to paint gun ownership as a fringe thing and make gun owners outcasts.
