Always know your target, however, looks like dad was maybe dealing and a tad bit jumpy?

23-year-old woman accidentally shot and killed by father entering her Greenville County home, officials say

GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Investigators are trying to decide if a father will face charges for accidentally killing his 23-year-old daughter as she came home, officials said.

Jermaine Tramone Pressley, 43, has been arrested for possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute, deputies said. He's only facing drug charges at this time.

The coroner identified the victim as Nadeja Jermainequa Pressley.

The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday outside Pressley's home on Young Street.

Very sad. Someone like him should not be able to own, or carry a firearm.

Considering theres a good chance he's going to prison, not much likelihood he's going to be doing that anytime soon...

So daddy the drug trafficker killed his daughter shooting through a door at her and thier still considering charges on the shooting? The only consideration should be which tree they use and who buys the rope.

Possession of illegal drugs usually negates any castle doctrine issues as possession of said firearm is a felony.
Shooting through an unopened door is generally not accepted as self defense either.
One thing I never do is go back to the house unannounced. My wife carries too.
A soldier living off base at Fort Bragg was killed by his wife when he thought it would be nice to surprise her. Apparently he forgot that he had trained her to shoot intruders but forgot to train her to be sure of the target.
