Soon-to-be 1st-time handgun owner, in Rhode Island

My RI Blue Card arrived in the mail Wednesday; put a deposit on a Glock 17 Thursday; should have it by this Friday.

I own a couple of shotguns with which I've done bird hunting over the years. I've shot rifles and handguns just a few times, so I plan on taking some lessons.

Got my Glock, then stopped elsewhere for ammo, without luck. That's when the reality of the reported ammo shortage started to sink in. Ordered 1,000 rounds from BulkAmmo.com. That has now arrived. Taking the NRA Basic Pistol class soon.
