Recently we had to travel to Indiana for a memorial service for my cousin. After the service my wife and I went to Chicago and spent the day and night with friends. On the way home I forced my wife to go to the Hammond Indiana Cabela's with me - so I could see first hand, what was in their gun library...I was not disappointed; and settled on a 1936 Vintage (although you can't tell from the looks of it) Colt Officer's Model Target .38 Special, 6" Heavy Barrel. It has a set of Sanderson Stocks on it as well. It will go nicely with the Smith and Wesson Pre-Model 17, 5 Screw K22, 6" that I recently bought as well; and I am planning do to a side by side shooting comparison between the S&W and the Colt .22 lr Officer's Model Target that I already have...Here they are:
