I think I've seen statistics that contradict the ones in that article.

Come on, you don't trust a site called the Tea Party News Network? They are right up there with Infowars in terms of credibility.
 
Well the number of murders involving a gun has declined so the politicians consider it a victory.
 
It actually COST the aussies $500 million to collect all those guns? [rofl]

why didn't they just contract it out to a private company, who would have collected the guns and sold them overseas..probably for free!

I assumed that they had to pay the owners for them. If not, then that is crazy.
