Note: Odd markings. Looks like the original was machined down and new one was laser-cut over it. Factory?



This one (main S/N) was harder to cover up and "Ghosting" of the original S/N is visible beneath the laser-cut S/N

So who can’t get 80% frames nowadays anyways? It’s kids play to buy and build these things. Scratched off serial numbers on wheel guns that the perp tries to run .40 in just don’t work.

I'm too lazy to look up the whole statute that was excerpted above.

Q: Is it illegal to have a gun with any serial number defaced,
or is it only illegal to have a gun with all serial numbers defaced?

In this specific case,
is it a wallhack to mill out the damage
and re-engrave the missing number?

for those keeping score it has another sn under the crane and some other numbers and scan code under the grips.

Client charged with unlawful possession and obliterated sn.

Do you get to keep the gun if your client wins?
