Small game hunting in Northeastern MA

Anyone ever legally hunt there with air rifles?

From the emails with F&W I gathered some info. Woodchuck, red squirrel, skunk, and weasel are open year round. As of now grey squirrels are a no go.

So any other locals have any more info? Good legal airgun hunting grounds?

You're limited to those animals that you mentioned. Anything that isn't listed in the regs is strictly off limits which includes the majority of birds.

Why would you just walk in the woods and "take birds". I hope u plan to consume what you take in some form be it food or hyde.

OP:

Do you have a hunting license?

If not, you need a hunter ed course ( go to the Masswildlife site, and sign up.)

If you're hunting, you need the appropriate license, whether it be with bow or air gun.
