I saw this earlier and thought it was worth sharing.

The subject of the Jan. 20 editorial, "Silence sometimes is not golden," is a non-issue in Rhode Island. General Law 11-47-20 makes the sale or possession of a "silencer" a felony, subject to a penalty of not less than a year and a day in prison. Therefore, it matters not in this state whether Congress makes the licensing of silencers less arduous or costly.

I have said this before to others in RI, there is hopes that if this bill passes then RI would amend this chapter...however, i do not think that will happen. We still can't play with supressors.
