When I went to pick up a Model 36 I had on layaway, the dealer also had one of these in his case. I like the lightweight J-frames for summer pocket carry and this one is just old enough to not have the lock. He is asking $425, I am thinking of going back and offering $375 cash.

This is the version with the black finish, red ramp front sight, and the Hogue Bantam grips.

Should I?

YES YOU SHOULD! [twisted]

Thanks! I knew I could count on my NES buds to give me a reasoned and detailed response.

Think I'll cash a (big) check tomorrow and go back with a couple of large bills to ease the trade.

Not to really toss a monkey wrench into the works, but Four Seasons is currently offering the S&W Models 637 (Chief's special w/ exposed hammer) or 642 (Bodyguard frame, DAO) for $350 cash...

I was just reading a thread about light weight exposed hammer J frames & decided to do a search for 337pd. Low & behold this ancient thread popped up. I have one of these little gems & have carried it for a decade now. Dude that price was a steal back then. I sincerely hope you bought it. Discontinued in 2004 I believe, it is the lightest revo Smith ever made. The things are very rare & seldom seen.

If one is good, two is better.

I have one (337) , I LOVE IT! Back before the stupid MA roster, I sold my Glock G27 for it. Only regret is selling a gun to get a gun.
