Shooting/Training and Gun Videos, post them here.

I just think that everything you do is faster than everything we do. LOL

I've only been working it for a few months. On a timer, I'm about .2 seconds slower with support side. I think I can close the gap though.

For me its a economy of motion. As the mag goes in and my support hand starts rotating forward to grip the gun, I can hit the slide release. If I try with my strong hand, I have to stop my support hand until my thumb is out of the way

[thinking]

I lay out a heavy shipping blanket on the floor in front of me, a reload pillow i guess

The reload basket is the bomb. You can get in a lot of practice for a given amount of time. Jerry's idea really shines in an industry awash with useless crap gimmicks.

Think how fast you would be with a real gun

Spent day at range yesterday with Anthony from Alpha Concealment running some drills. Got a new appendix holster for the G19. This was a 1.25 at 7 yards on a C zone steel target. Winter clothes make any type of concealed work troublesome, but I'm pretty happy for just getting the holster that day.

first time out with my mark 6 on top of the bcm. i like it, its so close to being a red dot at 1x, but its not. the sacrifice seems worth it for the added magnification you get at a quick turn of the wrist.

haha cut me some slack man, first time out on the range with the new rig, i was taking it slow. lol.

is 25 seconds the par?

Really under 30 is you've got a good hang of it. 25 would be an advanced par time if I was training someone.

My best time ever is 19.77 I think. I've seen it done faster. I believe people have seen Kyle Lamb do it in 16.

Oh, and my best time ever is with irons [smile] I've never done it under 21 with a scope, but I've seen it done in 18 with a Mark4.

I'll actually time myself and try to go fast next time just for giggles, I think I've done it sub 20 before at one of our MRG shoots

I like that, does it come with a cup holder?

Got in a couple hours of some basic drills today. Felt pretty good.

Pulled a .74 out of my ass at 7 yards (at 3:40), and a 1.12 at 25 yards (at 3:40). That's not typical results though. lol

You made some pretty impressive gains over the winter. To get to the next level, you will need to start shooting USPSA and when you film you practice or matches, have someone film you. Hat cams look cool, but give next to zero feedback on what you are doing wrong.
Down zero..ugh

Totally agree. I have a tripod coming, and USPSA is part of phase 2 of the plan. Thanks! I appreciate all of the feedback

I'm sending you a special patch im working on.... you'll love it. Haha!

Just discovered this thread; you dudes know how to party! I've got a looooooooong way to go.

Front cones @ 15 yds. Center cone @20. Rear cones @25

This was a cool drill I did today with 508-Holsters. Its from Steve Gilchreast at Sig Academy. Pat Mac does it, and calls it Blaze X. His link and explanation below.

Here is a tip that will shave of a lot off time. Have the gun up, on target and ready to shoot a step and a half before the cone. This will give you more time on the sights, so you can break the shot as soon as you get top the cone.

You can see in pats video, he is actually slow rolling the front postions. Not coming to a complete stop. Saves a lot of time.

Definitely. I'll try getting gun up earlier. I tried rolling a couple, but I'm not quite there yet.

Quick question. Where do you guys practice this kind of stuff?? I love doing drills but am very limited by range rules. Do you guys have private land? Is there a range that allows you to do your own drills etc. ? Thanks for any info (you can pm so it doesnt clog the thread)

If your range won't let you do this kind of stuff, join another range. If at all possible.
I'm at Hopkinton sportsman's for example, and I set up and run anything I please.

I don't have any 'training' videos to share, but some USPSA action on my youtubes

+1 to changing ranges. Don't give money to fund ranges that think all you need to do is sight your rifle in October or pattern you shotgun from a bench.
