Shooting deer while videoing with smart phone.

This is the first time I used my smart phone to video. If I had turned the phone sideways I would have gotten a full screen picture. I took a one handed head shot.

all that being said.....they make a gun mount for a go pro. I'm sure they might have it for other devices.

Lets recap:
Initially you spooked it. Then it came around and walked into a perfect shot for you. It then sat there, pretty much looking right at you while you took the time to position your phone nicely for a decent video. Then you cleared it's sinuses quite efficiently and cleanly with a one-handed shot. Seems to me it barely suffered at all.
You are very damn lucky there and did a good job. Cheers!

What actually happened was the deer which was a spike buck walked along and I wasn't going to kill it until it ran back. Then it turned and came towards me and I thought that I had a chance to record a kill shot so that is what I finally did. After viewing the video I realized that if I had turned the phone sideways I would have gotten a full screen recording. Now I always turn my phone so I fill the screen with the picture.
