This is going nowhere. Al Sharpton will say nothing.

Interesting situation. Hopefully more cameras will shed light on it. again though I still think sending in a dozen armed leos to remove some homeless.people sleeping on the sidewalk is overkill (pardon the pun).

Americans have accepted that any risk and even perceived risk to police will be met with lethal force.

Perceived risk can be good enough for self defense under the reasonable person standard for you and I why not for police?

It seems so simple to me, don't fight with a cop and try to take his gun and you won't get shot.

But of course, the race baiters including President Five Iron will ignore that obvious fact....again.

My thoughts exactly...Don't fight/resist a cop (especially in this day and age). Apparently this homeless man was wanted for questioning in an armed robbery. I believe the officers were wearing body cams..should be interesting to see what comes out after all the videos are released.

Based on what I see and heard in this vid.... I hear a taser going off, he's got my gun...... cops got the right to react in self defense... big difference between a rock and a gun...

this is what happens when you make an entire race a protected class or in Obama's language "the proletariat". No one can touch them without there being riots. Thanks Socialism.

Meanwhile black men continue to kill each other in violent crimes at alarming rates. Where's the protests about that?

And 5 total shots between 3 cops. They didn't empty the mags. In the video, the guy is definitely fighting. Early but I'm inclined to believe it was justified right now.

I heard the taser go off as well- and the 5 shots...pretty excessive- probably a situation where "My partner is shooting, so I better be shooting as well." I found it a bit crazy how the one officer was kneeling down "covering" his partner in a wrestling match from less than a yard away with his PDW...pin the suspects arms down to the ground with your knee! You arent doing your partner any good by shooting into a scrap, hoping you get lucky and only hit the suspect. I read somewhere the suspect had some mental issues...will be interesting to hear more surrounding the victim/suspect's background if that is the case. Since the taser went off, there was obviously a "climbing" of the use of force continuum to deadly force- but (like all Monday morning QBs) It seems like this situation could have been handled better. Any loss of life is tragic.

The guy was a suspect in an armed robbery case...

BiBi's big bash in DC, there's no other news at this time. Cop shoots and kills unarmed citizen who goes for cops gun, Darwin winner for Monday, next!

I don't see why you say 5 shots is excessive. Either deadly force was justified or it wasn't. I couldn't see enough from the video to judge whether or not it was. But if 1 shot was justified, then multiple shots were also justified. And the shots happened quickly enough that the situation probably didn't change from justified to unjustified between shot 1 and shot 5.

And 5 shots total from 3 cops. So 2 cops shot twice and 1 shot one. It's not like when a few LAPD cops shot the wrong pickup trunk in the dorner search. I think they fired 70 or 100 rounds. Or a few of the NYC shooting where cops fired off 40 plus rounds.

The circumstances may have been excessive but not over the top. If he did try to grab the gun from the cop, bad things may happen. Not a wise idea to grab anyones gun.

Yes. BUT they all didnt come from the same officer..classic situation of other people shooting because their friends are. You will see when the report comes out.

My beef with the video? If your partner (s) is/are hands on with a suspect, you should be hands on as well. "Covering" someone with a gun in a wrestling match is no bueno.

So if you were fighting for your life, are you going to get a little pissed when the DA says "isn't that excessive" when you mag dumped a guy who was trying to kill you?

Once the line's been crossed its been crossed. It's not like the guy walked back there to "finish him off" or something. It's called "deadly force" for a reason.

I'm not even saying the cops were right or whatever in this situation, not enough evidence, but if a gun comes out and someone gets shot five times, assuming justified, 5 shots is hardly "excessive".

So, based on your interpretation, the perp was a threat to all three officers that fired thus authorizing them all to use deadly force?

Also, what happened to shooting and re-assessing the threat? If this all came from the same officer, I would agree. But the video looks like one officer fired, and then two others followed suit.

Is Bonesinium sleeping in today?

Yes.

The woman seen in the video recording picking up an officer's baton was detained and is expected to be arrested, Smith said. She had not been booked as of 9 p.m. Sunday, and it was unclear what charges she would face, but Smith said the arrest would stem from her picking up the baton.

Oh, she picked something up. We can't figure anything out but rest assured if we think hard enough we will come up with something to charge her with.

Lets ask ourselves shall we, is it really shocking any more? Not really. The real shocking part will be when the people finally stand up and proclaim enough is enough.

Obviously were not there yet so the beatings will continue until further notice.
