I thought this was neat. Neat enough to the point where I started shopping parts. Looks like it is only 1 watt. I'm still on the fence about real world usefulness.

kv4p HT is a purpose-built 2m FM transceiver module (DRA818V) with a programmable PLL, managed by an ESP32.

the module covers 134~174MHz and appears to have audio in/out connections available if you wanted to feed an amplifier directly instead of tethering it to your Android phone.
