HB1901: Fining Landlords for Tenant Drug Use
House Bill 1901 would impose fines on landlords if tenants use or store illegal drugs on their properties, regardless of whether the landlord is aware of the activity.
...

HB2246: Landlord Liability for Police Responses
House Bill 2246 goes further, making landlords financially responsible for the costs of police responses to their properties, no matter who initiates the call or the reason behind it.

It continues to sicken me to watch this state spiral out of control. It's getting to the point where California is a better place to live. Correction, California is better. Prettier, and better weather. Laws are about equal at this point.

Stupid laws like this will impact real estate values for multi families.

Anyone know the halfwit c*nts that submitted this cut and paste legislation? After last year’s gun law, this has to be the dumbest fing thing I’ve ever heard.

Does not surprise me for a second. Worcester has a graffiti ordinance. If someone tags your building you can be fined if you do not remove it. And the fine is substantial. Some of these buildings that get tagged would require a scissor lift or a crane to remove. That's big bucks.

Here's the kicker - I bet somewhere in the fine print it also says that "crimes committed by tenants do not allow for speedy eviction" or something like that. MA already sucks for landlords when it comes to evictions - they will make this a double edged sword to punish LLs even more. Bet it also includes a provision that "habitually offending landlords surrender their property to the state for redistribution to a needier class of LGBTXZY"

Are we really surprised?

Glock gets sued by the states because their firearms are used in crimes. For the Dems, it's a logical next step...
I had a movie idea that celebrity men were getting sued for child support because blue hairs identified their kids as theirs. Seemed far fetched years ago. Not so much anymore

Weather is better in CA for sure, but everything else is worse including the laws. Yes, it sickened me to watch what is being done to MA, which is why we left.

All they're really going to do is cause a bunch of mysterious fires to happen and in turn a bunch of cheap housing is going to get turned into SoDoSopas. 🤣
Or low income housing units if it's not a big donor area , it's MA

Lol... you don't like pasty 6s with marbles in their mouth?

Look at the stud clubber over here

I think it's more the southern Kali bikini hot chick thing but you have to take Mex derived chicks now, if it's your thing. It's not Gidget as much now

I have a 220 ft long building the back of which is on the train tracks. The entire wall has been tagged for years.

I got a letter from the city board of health ordering me to remove the graffiti or face a $200 per day fine.

I did a little research. It’s a 1A issue. They can’t make me remove it.

I called the city health inspector and told him I wasn’t going to remove it.

We talked. He knew graffiti is speech the moment I talked to him.

This was years ago and the graffiti is still there untouched.

I grew up in the south end of Boston near Roxbury border in the 70s...lotta burned out buildings in my childhood. Same in Dorchester, and the Bronx and Chicago and Baltimore and ...

Just one more reason why the entire Massachusetts legislature should be publicly hanged on the Boston Common.
That’d be a lot of fun, but essentially pointless when you’ve got a retarded electorate just drooling at the thought of replacing that batch with more communists.

My advice to anyone who’s past fed up.
