The phrase "Self defense - English style" is, unfortunately, now a contradiction in terms.

The land that gave us the phrase "A man's home is his castle" has degenerated into a morass of impotent, socialist victims-in-waiting, forbidden by their own government from self-help, never mind self-defense.

Neville Chamberlain must be chortling in his grave.........

Note that the column is UPSIDE-DOWN!

Inverting it would make the table more stable AND give you the HANDLE of the bat where it belongs when you grab the shield. In its current design, you have to flip it with one hand to bring the bat into action.

Must be English ergonomics - all they know are cricket bats.......... [roll]

I think I'll take a lead injection device instead, thank you very much.

As Jeff Cooper once noted, science has demonstrated that most crime results from a severe biochemical imbalance in the body of the perpetrator, the result of an acute lead deficiency. The treatment of choice is lead supplementation, specifically a 230 grain doseage administrated intercranially. [wink]

Wholly absent from these analyses is recognition of the fact that the English no longer have the RIGHT to defend themselves or their homes, still less the guns, saps, etc. to do so.

Hence the necessity for such poor substitutes as this "table." [roll]
