The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) filed suit against California’s “assault weapons” ban on November 29, alleging it violates California’s Administrative Procedures Act.
Moreover, SAF claims the new “assault weapons” regulations “are invalid and unenforceable (because) they far exceed the scope, content, and purpose of the legal authority on which they are purportedly based.”

Breitbart News obtained the SAF release, which says, “California lawmakers have incrementally tightened regulations on the ownership of so-called ‘assault weapons’ over the past several years while expanding the definition of what constitutes such a firearm. The new regulations have done likewise with no oversight.”

SAF founder and Executive President Alan Gottlieb said, “The state’s relentless effort to crush the rights of law-abiding gun owners has gotten completely out of hand. In this particular case, the new regulations not only exceed the scope of the law, they are in conflict with the law, and are contradictory in some cases.”

Another attempt by the good guys to get a gun rights lawsuit up to the USSC level, which is how far they need to go to get a fair ruling. Their arguments could be entirely valid, and the 9th Circuit would still make up their own logic to rule against them.

California Democrat lawmakers simply crush liberty they don't agree with.

We don't seem to be doing so good defending our 2A rights in front of not just the Supreme Court but courts in general.

I don't live in MA, so I can't say I agree from a "whole view" standpoint. Heller, McDonald, and most places outside a handful of liberty-crushing states indicates good progress.

Totally valid case, I like our odds in the Supreme Court, with any luck, Trump will appoint another judge.

Here in MA even when we win, we lose (they just ignore it), re: stun guns.

California continues its push to force the law abiding middle class to leave the state. CA rulers want, in the end, a police state like Mexico. Only the criminals and the government carry guns outside the home in CA. 99.76% of the population is unarmed by law when they leave the home. MA has many times more "permits" issued with a fraction of the CA population.

Her and the 'wise-latina' voted against the travel ban as well, black letter law......meh. Ruthie replaced with Ted Cruz - one can dream.

Don't forget Ted was the Texas AG that sued W's administration over executing the Mexican national in Texas (Ted won, the murderer took the shot).
