Still need to finish sand etc .Add butt pad etc

Also when I take the barrel off it fits in my messenger bag. It was kinda odd sitting in line at a dunks with a take down belt fed in my bag.

Hand guard .
Cut ejection port out .
Attach butt stock .

Any questions or picture request feel free .

MG42 alternating belt feed?

Mg3 is the updated version of the mg42 in 308. The belts happen to work with 7.62x39. So it's a poor mans rpd. Only costing me roughly 5-600$ in parts .

The feed tray I got mg3 will work with linked belts and links.

Ill need to cut off the drum holder since it's right where the ejection port will be . Left side like a pkm , cause real men like to be hit in the forearm with hot brass.
I might be able to cut it and reweld it spaced out . So I can use this pretty hk drum.

If any one is interested , I have the guide and prints for the original mg47 build . All you need to build it is a hack saw , dremel, grinder and a drill press. I based my version on it and when I'm done will have a fusion 360 project file.
If any one can setup a way for people to down load the files let me know and I can send them to you .

This is awesome. Now if I can just talk the wife into letting me get a mill and lathe.

Look for a makers space near you. The one I'm helping run the machine shop has a knee mill and a south bend heavy 10 lathe(I personal hate belt drive lathes)

If you have the space you can do a lot with a 7x or 9x lathe with a extended bed.
With the extended bed you can do most barrel work. Can get one for u see grand .
Knee mill if you look around you can get a decent full size Bridgeport or clone for less then the hf half size knee mill.

What gets expensive is all the other tools.
