I know they make all different scopes for different purposes, ie. long range/short range, varmint, ones for muzzleloaders, etc. But do they make scopes spec. for shotguns? Or do you usually put a rifle scope on a shotgun?

Yes, they tend to have longer eye relief over regular rifle scopes and beefy internals.

I like this one, and for not a lot of $$. I use the variable magnification during zeroing, but leave it at the low end while in the field, for a brighter image and quicker sight placement. The scope's been through all types of weather conditions, and experienced no fogging. For hunting from a stand, some people have problems with some optics' eyepieces reflecting too much light (clouds). Being that I'm typically under tree canopy cover, I haven't had a problem with that.
