http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ed-pellet-gun-no-face-shot-80-times-cops.html

A man killed by police officers in Texas on Saturday was armed only with a pellet gun and was shot more than 80 times, leaving him with 'no face', family members said.
The Laredo Police Department said it placed six officers who allegedly opened fire on Jose Walter Garza on administrative duties pending an internal investigation, media reported.
The incident, much of which was recorded on a surveillance camera, took place outside a truck stop on Saturday at around 2 am.

Police began firing at 30-year-old Mr Garza after he 'put his finger on the trigger guard and pointed at the officers'

And...

But 'he wouldn't get aggressive, he wouldn't hurt anyone', she said. 'Why didn't they shoot him in the leg, or the arm or something? Not like that.'

Naturally, every story reported to the interwebz is 100% accurate!

ETA: The media's job is to get us all worked up and clicking and refreshing and all that shit. I don't see shit for facts in that article.

Was it 80 times for each personality the victim had?

However lets be realistic, out of 80 shots only one landed my mistake.
They are cops after all.[rolleyes]

I'm sorry.... how ****ing hard is it to make even a feeble attempt at first aid after a shooting? Not even a check of vital signs? Plug one hole? You stopped threat. Have plenty of backup for scene safety. It looks inhumane AT BEST. Even if a shooting is 10000000% justified and blessed by the Pope himself... you still look like an animal standing over someone while they bleed out. I couldn't do it.

80 shots really wtf.....I'm shocked no one else got shot..
in the end if he indeed pointed a gun at someone with a gun and was shot....well thems part of the rules right. I just hope its not axeasy to identify pellet gun like the daisy 880 or crosman 760....

Good shoot, but a little savage at the end there. Dude is down, how about all of you lower your weapons, take a breather and stop dragging the body around like a 12 year old ISIS recruit who just beheaded his first Christian.

Well 6 officers with maybe 15rd mags doing a mag dump would be 6×15 = 90 so they actually didn't shoot everything unless they had different guns that had different capacities

Why is it when this shit happens in the U.S. , we have to read about it in a U.K. news outlet ???

The English like to report on American violence to make themselves feel better about being socialist sissies with bad teeth and a ruined economy.

I find it hard to believe that's the only camera in that station, it didn't even cover 1/2 the pumps... It does say that he had a replica semi auto pellet pistol, I had some before that from 10' away you couldn't tell it wasn't legit so if he was pointing that at cops I don't blame them but 80 rounds seems a tad excessive

This.
At least make it APPEAR that you give a f*ck, even if you don't.
Also, when does the Ferguson-ish rioting begin over this one?

Shoot him 80 times (seems doubtful) and then cuff the body? Good effort there

As the wise man says: Nothing good ever happens at 2 AM while out on the streets. At home, maybe a different story, depending on how long you have been married!

If 80 times is true and they just stood there and watched him bleed out that does seem a little harsh. But just a little when I think of what the other possible outcomes could have been:

Newtown, CT
Aurora, CO
Columbine in Littleton Colorado....

And dozens more. So I'd rather 80 rounds in this schitzoid than another of these events to take place.

Sorry, but I just can't have any compassion for this mushroom thinking about the "what if".

And now my gun rights are on the chopping block and it's all because of the events listed above and people like the guy with 80 rounds of lead in his face.

So the family gets a little money for his death which should be a nominal one time payment and the tax payers don't have to support him in an institution until some libtard doctor says he's fine and lets him out to perform an evil deed. Case closed.....close the box and put him in the ground.

You point a gun at six armed men, cops or otherwise, then what the heck do you expect.

I have noticed a common thread about shootings of armed mentally ill people.

They often hold on to deadly weapons (or fake guns) and wave them around as if it makes them feel powerful.

The weapons may be useless as weapons because they are fake or if a knife, no victims are nearby to hurt as the police hold them at gun point.

The police demand they drop the weapons but the mentally ill often times refuse to do so as if they are "looking for attention".

I believe that such behavior is a result of their psychosis.

Unfortunately the police have to make the choice to shoot these people.

In places where there are many mentally ill people, the police undergo training to de-escalate such situations and learn to deal with the mentally ill in a way that allows the mentally to surrender without being shot.

The English like to report on American violence to make themselves feel better about being socialist sissies with bad teeth and a ruined economy.

If OhBummer has his way (along with the majority in the .gov these days) the only difference between us and England will be quality of teeth. We're already damned close to being there.

From what I saw in the video, I didn't see him getting shot. It would be interesting to see if another camera caught the entire thing. I would imagine the place had enough camera coverage to have that captured too.

yep, them Texas rangers really love when you point a weapon at them with your finger on the trigger.

I'm assuming its SOP, but wtf is with the handcuffing of corpses? Because it makes them look even worse than the behavior you talk about above. It makes me want to taunt them like children. "oOo, the big bad man with the holes in his face gonna get up and gitcha?"
