Okay, so I remember a few months back when people were talking about not needing a chief stamp of approval or any kind of approval other than ATF stamp under some new law started out in Cali that clears up some stuff out there.

Anyways,

Is that still the case? I really would prefer to not have to go thru chief, or trust, or any of that B.S. Send in 200, get stamp, done.

So did that amount to anything?

So technically, I should be able to head down to my local atf office, get all the paperwork, send it in, and done?

Hmm that's nice to know I sent in all my paper work including the chief signature would have loved to skip that part, now the wait begins 3 weeks and counting : )

The new forms aren't out yet, until the new forms without the CLEO sig are out, you're going to need a sig. My chief always signs, but my next few purchases I'm making I'm waiting for the new forms. I hate extra steps.

I remember back in April when this hit the internet.

I was unable then, as now, to find anything official.

Could someone please provide a citation?
