What diameter bullets are you guys using for this little gem? Also, any pet loads that you particularly like? I just got around to cleaning up the reloading bench and decided to get started on some fun loads for the .460, but wanted some ideas to start with. All I have at the moment are .45 caliber bullets:

Hornady-
.451 diameter 230 gr FMJ-RN

.452 diameter 240 gr XTP/MAG

.452 diameter 250 gr HP/XTP

Winchester-
bulk 230 gr JHP (notched) that actually measure .4495 on average

I also wanted to load up some .45 Long Colt to fire out of the same gun if anyone has any hot loads for that.

For powder, all I have at the moment is Bullseye, H110, Reloader 15, Blue Dot, IMR 4061, and IMR 3031.

My reloading manuals (I have 4) have next to nothing listed for this round, and I've been striking out online too.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Go here: http://www.accuratepowder.com/reloading.htm

and download this: http://www.accuratepowder.com/data/Accurate v322 web publication.pdf

and it has various loads for the .460 S&W. None of your powders though. You might
try the websites of the vendors of your powder supply. I'm sure they have some loads
listed.

Thank you! These are the ones from Handloads.Com, right? I just found that one a little while ago, still looking for more for comparisons sake. I try to find at least 3 or 4 sources before working up any load as I'm still fairly new to this and I'm trying not to turn myself into a statistic.[smile]

Your right Sir, those are from Handloaders.com. Great site..

I usally print out Handloaders.com data for the powder I have and then compare it to my books and the powder companies.
