Ruger LC9 Lasermax or Laserlyte? i can't decide

I have a Laserlyte on my LC9. I have no experience with the LaserMax or Crimson Trace, so I cannot give you any comparative advice. But here is what I have found about mine.

I like that it is very light, easy to install, and easy to activate. I like that you can set it up for either a constant beam or pulse (maybe all lasers do this?).

Things I don't like, and maybe these are typical of all lasers - if I zero it in at 20 feet, and then aim it at 10 feet, it is about 3-4" off. When shooting outdoors, with any kind of ambient light, it really isn't visible past 10' or so.

I really wouldn't plan n using the laser in a defensive situation if there were any daylight at all. It does make me feel better that I have a way to aim in very low light, with fairly decent accuracy. I haven't really been able to test it out at varying ranges, just because I can't shoot at my club in the dark, and I can't see the dot in the light.

I hear that the CT laser is MUCH brighter, and that it is worth the extra $$.
