Any sort of DJ set in electronic dance music. Most are 1-2 hours. I like the Tech/House genre.

    Queen- Don’t Stop Me Now
Electric light orchestra- Mr Blue Sky
    Billy Joel- Movin Out(Anthony’s song)
    Allman Brothers- Ramblin Man
Tom Petty- Runnin Down a Dream
    Eagles- Take it Easy
    Jackson Browne- Runnin on Empty
Bruce Springsteen- Born to Run(not my choice, wife interjected)
    Motley Crue- Home Sweet Home

That should be a good start.

    Edit- alternates include
Rolling Stones- Sympathy for the Devil
Led Zepplin- When the Levee Breaks
Van Halen- Hot for Teacher(mainly for the beats per minute)

Interstate love song, and if you are going to listen to STP, you might as well through in Plush.

Sorry I couldn't help out more.

    I appreciate all the ideas!

Some of them may earn me some very cold stares, though...

    How long a trip?
When I was 18 and in the Navy I drove from San Diego to Norfolk VA. With only three 8 tracks. Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The best of the Beach Boys and The best of Bread.

    Don't do that!

We regularly drove from Mass to Nebraska. 24 hours of driving each way. For a good chunk of the trip we'd run the audio of a portable DVD player through the aux port on the car stereo and my wife would hold the screen so she could see it but it wouldn't distract me. Movies that you both like and are familiar enough with that you can follow along just listening will grind off miles. The BBC Pride and Prejudice mini series vaporizes a good chunk of the day. It's actually pretty amusing and the wife loves it. At Cristmas time she'd play all the claymation Christmas specials and Elf, Christmas Vacation, Scrooged, etc.

My road trip thumb drive has over 4000 songs on it, plus I have Sirius/XM .... I start somewhere around ABBA and end up near ZZ Top with everything in between. You can never have enough music

Past road trips we kept entertained scanning for FM stations with listenable music. My Durango caught a little bit of fire last fall and it's replacement has Sirius. Now that we have endless muzak, I'm told to put together a mix ta-, er, mix drive. Go figure.

I just checked my iTunes library.

    I have 9 days, 13 hours, 14 minutes, 3 seconds of music.

I'll get there just fine without any repeats.

Just drove to Tennessee in a box truck that wouldn’t go over 60. Spent almost all of those hours listening to the Joe Rogan Experience, Colion Noir, Ben Shapiro or Jordan Peterson. I’ve made the drive a few times and this worked out much better than music.

I will add 'Super Tramp - Live in Paris'. Double CD, awesome for road trips. It's also in my top 5 for desert Island must haves.
