I never knew that Rick Rescorla died in the Twin Towers. For those of you that don't know who he is, he served in the Ia Drang Valley of Vietnam, at LZ X-Ray and LZ Albany. He's mentioned in Galloway's book "We were Soldier's Once"

There was a very moving and well written article about him in the New Yorker magazine a few months after the World Trade Center attack.

There are certain men born in this world, and they're supposed to die setting an example for the rest of the weak bastards we're surrounded with.

The History Channel has had a show about him play a couple times now. He saved all the people he was hired to protect from Dean Whitter. He died because he was trying to help other folks who were trapped on the upper floors in one of the towers. One of many heros on that day.
