Rice: 2nd Amendment as important as 1st

I've heard this before, which is one of the reasons I've always really liked Condoleezza Rice. It seems that it came out big time on Larry King the other day. I don't know how long the link will work, but it's on-line here:

Since she's a real team player, I suspect that the mention of background checks and gun shows are simply going along with administration policy. I've certainly never heard her say anything favoriably about either one before.

Rice said she favored background checks and controls at gun shows. However, she added, "we have to be very careful when we start abridging rights that the Founding Fathers thought very important."

So she's not exactly against infringing...just wants to make sure they are "very careful" when they do. [wink]
