Replace pre-ban folding stock with adjustable?

Hi,

I've got a pre-ban Mini-14 with the side folding stock. If I understand correctly, I can replace a folder with another folding stock -- for example to replace a damaged part.

But, can I trade one evil stock for another? Can I replace a folder with a more user-friendly adjustable stock?

It of course has a pistol grip and a flash hider if that matters.

Sure you can. It's legal on your pre-ban.

Yup it's preban, with the exception of converting it to F/A or making it a SBR, you can do whatever you want.

Why can't you make it an SBR? Perfectly legal with the proper ATF paperwork.

Yeah, well that's what I meant, my bad for not stating more clearly. If you wanna do the paperwork...cut away, if you just wanna do all the preban bolt-on goodies, you can do so without any paperwork.
