Anyone have any experience with getting restrictions removed from LTC? Does the new requirement of the licensing authority to notify an applicant in writing of the reasons for 'unsuitablility' in Chapter 284 of 2014 H4376 section 48 be applied to restrictions?

It really varies town by town. Sometimes you can write a letter and get them lifted; sometimes they want to see training you've done; sometimes after a year or two they can lift restrictions; sometimes it can be done at renewal; and sometimes you need to graduate from medical or law school. Do a search for Norwood, I'm sure it's been discussed somewhere on here before.

there were no issues in Waltham - requested the way as instructed by the issuing officer, updated LTC within 3 weeks
OP is in Norwood so I don't see how Waltham is relevant...

The written notification is only for a denial, based on suitability. If you are issued a restricted LTC, you have not been denied.

Sucks, but, IIRC this has been upheld more than once in the "Marsupial" courts.

Try writing a letter to Bill Brooks requesting restriction removal (assuming Norwood issued your LTC). All indications are that he's a reasonable person and not restricting everyone like his predecessors did.
