Anyone have the necessary vices and gauges to twist on a .308 barrel to a 700 receiver? Looking to complete this build myself and learn along the way.

Thanks in advance!

tough to answer the go/no-go gauge question without knowing what caliber you intend on building.
How are you planning on headspacing, short chamber or long chamber? short chamber requires a finishing ream of the proper caliber, long chamber requires a lathe.

My mistake. The barrel that I have is a .308 varmint takeoff. Depending on how the barrel will headspace is I may need to ream the chamber or remove material off the shoulder to adjust.

Also, does anyone have a home parkerizing setup or know of a cheap local shop? Looking to refinish a wingmaster receiver with zinc phosphate.

Thanks in advance!
