I know this isn't a mil-surp but thought it would be the best place to post this. I was helping my grandmother inlaw move some furniture around and found this in the corner. Excuse the craptastic pics, but it appears to be a Remington 1889. I found a page where the hammer style could be used to identify the model, but there is a surprising lack of info on these on the web. Aside from the age it looks to be in decent shape and no I am not going to shoot it, but I would like to know some more info on it.
She's a big girl, and a really cool piece of history, if anyone can shed some light on it, it would be appreciated!
