honestly. I think if someplace gave away crap on a pita there would be a line. Dunkin has the worst donuts. You are better with the ones from the supermarket. Traffic snarls ensue. To save 89c.

Our local Walmart had free donuts posted in the entrance. That created a donut carousel; Hungry crowd grabbed one, went out, ate it and walked in again to get another one. This was happening around 11 AM.....Before buses will arrive.

    What a country!

In Russia they gave you a free donut only when you have voted for Putin!

Wonder if Blackbird Doughnuts participated today. I didn't know what a good donut was until I had their donuts. Even their Everything Donut (complete with cream cheese) is fantastic, despite not sounding very appealing. Parking there sucks though, which is why I never stop by.

Just remember, the first mouse may get to taste the cheese, but the second mouse realizes why it was free.

I wouldn't eat one of their donuts if they paid me to do it.

They weren't free at Blackbird, but I had a coworker show up with a (few short of a) dozen from there for our 10AM meeting today. There were 4 of us. Fatness ensued.

They are kind of large for donuts, so I can see not even needing a full dozen. I'm glad that place isn't convenient to me, as I'd be a good 10lbs heavier.

I took a bike ride today and ended up in Lincoln, NH before I started home. While I was there, I stopped for a coffee at DD's and the woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted the free donut, I told her no thanks and that she could give it to the guy behind me...he turned it down too. Are they really that bad? I haven't had a DD donut in over a decade.

    I got mine, today.

My choice for a donut between my house, and work, is

    1) Dunkin'
    2) there is no 2

I always meant to stop there when I lived in Medford
Wegmans actually makes a pretty good donut (Or they at least source them from a good supplier)

If you go, they open at 7 and doughnuts are ready at 8am. If you go at 9 theyre usually sold out.

Gave it up. My oldest daughter told me about this promo today, said I don't want nor need it. Youngest daughter asked if I wanted it when she picks up her coffee since she can't eat it, I said "give it to a homeless outside dunks", there are usually homeless people sit on the stairs in our "fine local dunks".

And then everyone is surprised why is America such a fat nation.

I bought an ice coffee on the way home today at DD. When I approached the window, I told the young girl "happy donut day". She immediately said "sorry we're out of free donuts". I said no worries, I only want the coffee!

I avoid Dunkin at all costs, cant stand them. Heavenly is good, Donut Dynasty in Dracut and Lawrence are fantastic.

Nothing better than sitting in a meeting with my customer discussing a Dunkin deal, while they eat the donuts I brought, and we talk about how Dunkin is garbage.

I DO wish they had a little less sulfuric acid content in their coffee...otherwise it is fairly edible stuff when you are on the road.

My free jelly donut was triple stuffed compared to the usual offering, but even at that rate it was stale and not worth the calories.

I honestly can't stand any of the fancier donuts. That being said, I have donuts about once a month and even that's too much. The notion of being pretentious about donuts is an anathema to me. Edit: when its 5am and I'm in a random town in New England and I need food, a drink, and a toilet, DD's got me covered 90% of the time.
