Reloading which brand or mod to look for?

Start with a single stage press (Lee and Hornady are what I've used and always worked well) and some books, once you've perfected the art and it hasn't become a large paper weight, go with a progressive for your pistols calibers. Single for the rifles calibers, at least thats how I roll. I like my Hornady L&L.

Take a class

No needed to start with a single stage press. Run 1 round at a time through the progressive until you feel comfortable.
A single stage press has its place though.
If you only going to load a few hundred rounds a year single stage is fine.

If I had the chance and budget to do it again I would get a progressive.

NOTE: All presses require some mechanical tinkering skills. The LEE being the worst of the bunch.
Lee presses take a Mechanical Tinkering Mentality that some maynot have.
I have yet to buy a progressive but have set up 2 550s and a LNL for others who couldnt get it done.
Follow directions take your time they will all do the job.
