Red Dot Sight batteries

My ESAB Sentinel A50 helmet takes two CR2032 batteries. The instructions say to take out the batteries if you're storing it for a long time. YMMV.

I believe you mean Lithium batteries (disposable) as opposed to Lithium Ion (rechargeable). But, yes, they take the cold and they don't leak.

Yes, I was multi tasking and failed. My wife says only woman have that skill.

Obviously if you are physically removing the optic from the gun, you will probably need to at least check your zero again.

I'd consider mounting the gun in a vise, noting where the dot falls on a distant sheet of graph paper,
and seeing if it changed upon remount. If so, no need to waste ammo.

I leave batteries in all my optics. I try now to leave a spare to each of my optics in my range bag. I have been caught more than once with a dead optic at the range.
