Anyone have any recommendations on hunting books for a relatively new hunter. He is out for deer with a black powder rifle.

If not a book, do you have any other suggestions. Looking for late Christmas gift

I recommend Gary Clancy.
I've read his book on Treestand Hunting Strategies and learned a lot. It covers all aspects not just treestand hunting.
He has several other books too.

Have a great day!

I just ordered Real World Whitetail Behavior. I was going to grab Steve Rinella's most recent survival, but thought the whitetail behavior was more relevant at this time. Thanks for the suggestions everyone

All New England deer hunters should read "How to bag the the biggest buck of your life" by Larry Benoit and Peter Miller. Larry was the Godfather to all the soles that roam the northern mountains of new england!

Also Hal Bloods Books "Hunting Bog Woods Bucks"
