I'll start with an easy one...

Take a couple pounds of hamburger, soak it in about a bottle of Guinness over night.

Then, the next day, there will be almost no beer in the bowl.

Then, add in, two eggs, a package of Lipton Onion Soup, maybe about a half cup to a cup of Stove top Stuffing uncooked, Italian Bread Crumbs, some salt and pepper to taste. And if you like, some finely minced garlic.

Mix it all up and form into patties.

Cook on the grill to desired Donenss.

Here's a decent Beer Barbecue Sauce

Take about 1/4 cup oil, an onion, chopped, 1-3 cloves garlic, chopped, roughly 6 tablespoons lemon juice, two cups of dark beer, but you can use whatver beer you like best, ambers also work well...2 cups chill sauce, one tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and about one teaspoon salt

Heat oil and saute onion and garlic until soft. Add lemon juice, beer, chili sauce Worcestershire and salt. Cook over medium heat until sauce bubbles, about 5 minutes. Use sauce to brush meat during grilling. As a marinade, cover thick chuck or round steaks completely with sauce and let stand in refrigerator overnight.

I think I'll try making a vegetarian version of the Guinness burgers... That sounds deeelish!

Vegetarian or Vegan? Because I don't know what you would use instead of the eggs. The eggs work like a glue to keep it all together. If you leave out the eggs, they will all just fall apart. Just a heads up.

Oh, found this in my recipe box in my gmail...this was sent to me by a friend. Still haven't made it, so I don't know how it's going to be.

Beer Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cups room temperature beer
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if wanted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Cream together the butter or margarine and the brown sugar. Cut in flour, baking soda and spice. Blend in beer slowly to form a soft dough.
Drop by teaspoonfuls and top with a walnut piece.
Bake 12-15 minutes at a 350 degree F (175 degrees C) oven until lightly brown. Cool one minute on cookie sheet and remove to wire rack.

I think the veg recipe means one guiness mixed with stomach acid....reapeat to taste 8)

That's how I read it at least 8)

Arrrr

PS: they all sound great...to bad I don't have any beer in the house

Ross: Was thinking that I would sub in veggie ground round. They have a few different brands. And if you don't like the veggie ground then you can also just lightly microwave veggie burgers and shred them up. I've used both before. Portobellos are usually kinda hard to mash up. But it might taste good.

C-pher: Nope, not vegan. No way. Couldn't do it. I need my eggs, cheese, yeast, honey, ice cream... Nothing dies to make any of the above, and if some wacko wants me to feel bad for killing all the baby yeasts, I'll invite them to throw away their Monistat next time they have an infection [twisted] [twisted] [twisted]
