Rebluing Beretta 92 mags

Anyone ever reblued 92 mags before? Bought some that have minor rust on them. Going to clean them up, remove rust, replace springs and followers and then reblue. The only thing giving me pause is they seem black and not blue. Maybe a stupid question but I have never done this before.

Make sure your magazine is REALLY clean and free from oils and contamination before applying, otherwise it's going to smell bad. Soak in acetone to get rid of any oil residue.

I have had better success matching the black versus blue with Dicropan T-4 bluing than Perm Blue, Super Blue, 44/40 or Oxpho Blue. Brownells, EBay and others usually have it.
