If you have a US Passport or Passport Card you do not need a Real ID , show your passport

I have a Passport Card in my wallet, it is the only ID I use, I never let anyone see my drivers license.

The exception was Shooters Outpost carded me to make sure I was not a MA resident, had to show proof of residence aka DL

The whole thing is a joke, this whole fiasco is a knee jerk reaction to 9/11, yet in the last 20 years and especially the last 4 our borders are open, unprotected, and we have millions of people here who can't have their identities verified, yet they are allowed to fly, enter gvt buildings, etc etc etc

You can't get ammo in that shit hole without being carded. The owner takes it upon himself to enforce Mass. Law. Hey, it's his dump. New Hampshire does not have such screwed up laws, but I guess that he thinks it is a good idea.

Pretty sure I heard something to that effect a while back. It's more of a "cover our asses" move for them.

Smaller shops can get away without doing that, since they're beneath notice (for now).

Even when I lived in NH, I usually ordered mags/ammo/etc online. Most of the time it was cheaper than stores in NH and no hassle. They just asked what state I was a resident of and stuff was on the way to me...no DL/passport/etc. My billing address told them all they needed to know. Same here in Missouri...I just need to now contend with sales taxes (about 10% which is akin to extortion) but that's why my property taxes here are around $450 a year as opposed to $6K+ in NH when I owned 1/10th the property there as I own here.

I have both a passport and RealID, only because I still have lots of family in Montreal. My license expired in December 2024 and figured if I have to go through all that BS to renew, might as well go all the way
