Re: "Sitrep from Puerto rico post Hurricane" in forum "Off Topic".

Not the least bit surprised that PR still looks like that. The video was full of FEMA and Trump bashing vs blaming the corrupt socialist government and their dependent class citizens. 50 Days in and that guy with 4 kids is still sitting on his ass waiting for the Gov to rescue him instead of cleaning up and fixing what used to be house. Really tragic

Tincture of iodine. 10 drops per liter kills bacteria. Google it for backpackers. Lasts forever instead of those short-life water purification tablets. Good for disinfecting cuts. In water, it gives about 30x the daily recommended dose of iodine to flush the thyroid (think nuclear incident). You don't need potassium iodide pills.

3 wonderful things in that tiny bottle. Keep many on hand. I do. Buy them at the drug store.

On the phone, so sorry for the cryptic text.

A Sawyer filter will do thousands of gallons. I have one I take backpacking that filters to 0.1 micron and can filter more water than what I could drink in the next 10 years. For under $50.

”Farm animals” are prohibited in Boston, but a lot of people wanted chickens. So the city changed their classification to “Domestic pets.” They usually become neighborhood celebrities: I’ve met “Hennifer Lopez.”

there was a story this year when someone in Newton ratted out a neighbor with a rooster to cops. The cops came to snuff out the rooster.

Why would the neighbor do that? Roosters make perfect (and free) alarm clocks!

Alternative comment about being "<another word for rooster> blocked" would probably be dimly viewed by the nearest mod, so NM...
