    schadenfreude

You know schadenfreude but don't know lebenslangerschicksalsschatz ? Maddeningly inconsistent.

She is one of the first actual FEMINISTS. She devoted her judicial life for fighting for female rights. As we have all seen, that sometimes becomes all-encompasing, and forces you into odd modes of thinking...where a law that might be good for females, and simultaneously bad for males, would be deemed "good", because of the past history of discrimination. everything narrowly looked at from the feminist only POV

I think if you look at her body of work thru THAT lens, it explains a lot

I guess that the real (unspoken) question about RBG is....

What would the Dems/Liberals/Progressive/Socialists be crying for if RBG was an ultra-conservative appointed by Donald Trump?

Here's confirmation, if you can believe that a little, local California newspaper knows something all the major news networks don't.
To me the question is, what stunts will the Dems pull to keep Trump from putting another on the court? I think they wore out sexual assault with the last one. Maybe a Russian connection? Or shoplifting as a 10 year old? Maybe the parents hired an illegal alien as a nanny when the nominee was an infant?

I think the next confirmation process will be such a blood-bath that it will make the one for Kavanaugh look like a middle school cafeteria food-fight.

They will probably threaten to shut down the government. Lolz. It'll be a good show and all work on gun control and Potus investigations will slow. And there will be crying. The only way we lose if he picks Amy Barrett bad news that one. Trump should pick a white man, just for extra laughs.

Well the leaders wore out sexual assault. But that does not mean some unstable ultra feminist liberal will not take it upon themselves to stir it up. What was exposed from Kav was that any unsubstaniated claim can and will alter things. They already have the agenda, now they have the means to the end. Add to this whole clusterfock is the instant fame the accuser gets and we have the recipe for rampant accusations.

    Edit
I left out the most important piece. That any and all claims, no matter how false or with bad intentions will go without any charges or penàlties.

If the President nominates a woman she'll be accused of being a "Betty Crocker" (feminazi equivalent of "Uncle Tom") and child abuse (if she has children). Heck, he could nominate a minority LGBTQ and the Dim's will contort themselves to oppose them.

Muellers "investigation" will drop the second something happens to Ginsberg which will "prove" collusion, dems will start impeachment, and every single news outlet will play non stop 24/7 how the president is being impeached and cant nominate a justice, further trying to brainwash the populace into believing this is an illegitimate president who should not be able to nominate a justice. I have zero doubt in my mind that's how it would go down.

Good prediction you forgot to add that they will go after his first two nominations because after all, he was retroactively unfit.

It's been hard to understand why/how the Mueller investigation has been dragging on for so long without producing any visible results. This may have been the Dem's plan for a while, though I have a hard time believing they have the I.Q. to play 4D chess like that.

The mueller investigation has been nothing more than an effort to distract from the clinton/obama/dem criminal actions they took prior to the election.

Its a distraction and nothing more

And, it makes for a good excuse that anything Trump claims or investigates against Clintons/Obama is nothing short of retaliatory.

Hmmmm. They’re outnumbered anyway, right? If RBG goes in a coma, we’re still at 5-3.

Come on Ruthie, push them daisies!

She is working from home reading transcripts but not hearing oral arguments. I would be okay with that if I had absolute trust in the system. But as it stands it would be like having one unaccountable person in charge of the voting. (Florida)

You would think in this day and age they could rig up some sort of video conference for such an event. I would hate to see one of ours sidelined for not being physically able to attend.

In practice it doesn't matter, she hasn't been very sharp for awhile. Most of the work, all in her case, is done by ideologically aligned law clerks. The 'no evidence of remaining disease' story means they couldn't find any cancer in the ashes after they incinerated her dead body. Weekend at the highest court in the land.
