I second this. Barry O did a ton of damage to the judicial system over 8 years despite only replacing 2 SC Justices due to his large number of appointments at the circuit and district court levels. It’s going to take Trump all of HIS 8 years in office to undo that damage.

RGB has broken ribs before. As to Amy Coney Barrett, I don’t think we know anything about her 2A views but she is a self-described textualist and constitutionalist and believes the court’s job is not to interpret the constitution according to one’s political or personal views but instead to interpret the text as written.

Enough with well wishing. I hope it hurts and I hope it’s fatal.
Didn't the left say the time for civility was over?
I hope the hearse runs over Sotamayor.

Put her on life support for 7 years? Yeah, I could see it.

The scary thing is that the way the Supreme Court is, you could have someone who has Alzheimer's and can't even remember their name and they can't be removed. If RGB went senile and started flinging shit during rulings, there's nothing that can be done to remove her. Maybe impeachment since throwing poop could be "disturbing the peace" or something and that's a misdemeanor, but were she to be put in a coma for a long time, you can't impeach someone over that.

The fake news media and lying Dems want to say firing Sessions is a "constitutional crisis" but a SCOTUS judge in a coma for a decade is because there needs to be laws/amendments made dealing with the lifetime appointment thing. We can't have someone so old and suffering dementia on the Supreme Court.

I would be worried as she has either very few or no known judicial opinions on the second. She might talk a good game, but what happens when we get another kennedy? She's a longtime academic, and I don't know that we can trust her.

I think it might be Captain Pike from Star Trek.
If so, that makes me a bigger nerd than you. :)

RBG has fought for minority rights her whole career. I applaud that. I don't necessarily agree with most of her positions but I have to recognize she did a lot to end legal discrimination (like unequal pay allowances in the military based on sex).

If she is unable to hear arguments my understanding is she doesn't get to vote which would make most cases end up being 5-3 instead of 5-4. This would actually be an improvement as she currently sleeps through arguments and is allowed to vote on decisions. She has often decided her position before the cases even come before the court. So while replacing her would be best, having her "incapable" of voting and tying up a seat isn't the worst case (for now).

RBG is actually one of the few remaining respectable Democrats. I don't agree with her on a lot of things but she is reasonable enough to call out things like the Kavanaugh hearings. She should retire and enjoy the end of her life.

She’ll be a really good democrat after her last breath. She may not decide any more cases but at least she can still vote.

DNC is going into overdrive to steal the elections in FL and AZ right now with ballot printing. They don't want Trump to have enough senators to get ACB confirmed because of squishes.

    ACB=Amy Coney Barrett

Squishes = Romney, Snowe, Collins, Flake, McCain, Sasse, etc. that care more about appealing to the country club, 'friends across the aisle', and media than their constituents.

They're on this bullshit kick that he perjured himself during the hearings. Because f*** Ford's "I flew here on an airplane and my second front door is because I'm scarred from being sexually assaulted and not because I illegally rent out half my house."

Where in the constitution does it say that Supreme Court justices get a life appointment? As far as I can tell it only says that they “shall hold their offices during good behavior.” Watch this be the path that the left tries to take in the coming decade(s).

I’m going to CVS to pick up a Get Dead Soon card for RBG. It will be at the NES reception desk if anyone wants to sign it.
