Question: 'best' AR 15 (223/556) Magazines?

Pmags are my vote but if you plan on carrying them in any type of magazine carrier or pouch like on a belt or plate carrier you already own, test one out first and make sure it fits correctly and doesn’t get hung up when you try to remove it from said pouch/mag carrier.

Thanks for all the discussion and pointers. Looks like top choices are:
- PMAG
- Lancer
- USGI (Okay...)
- FN

I use pmags for my standard chambering AR’s. And Brownells aluminum 20 round mags for my .300 blackout. Yes I could absolutely use pmags, but I wanted a drastic way to tell what goes with what. (And the blackout is a 7.5” barrel) Just how I organize em at my house. I would wager a guess the heavy population of pmags is due to when palmetto runs a sale for a vortex dot sight with 10 free pmags for $200.

I got Lancer's for my Socom build. Well built and 100% reliable so far. Metal feed lips mated with a plastic body. For everything else I just use GI 20s or 30s
