Public Safety Hearing

I am in Maui and have limited access to news back home. I checked the GOAL web site for an update http://www.mass.gov/legis/comm/dlnov07.htm but they still have the link to the MASS.gov link for the agenda.

Does anyone know how the hearing went? Are any of the laws being enacted?

They almost never vote on anything the day of the hearings.

They sometimes go into "executive session" to discuss the bills after the hearings are over.

Don't expect to hear anything for weeks or months. That is the usual way that it works.

Personally, I have no feedback from yesterday's hearings, but the committee itself usually doesn't say anything anyway. They (allegedly) listen . . . and then ignore any of the pro-gun testimony afterwards.

That's been my experience over the past 30 years, anyway.
