I'm in a situation where I'm looking to trade my mass handgun for a rhode island long gun. I'm not sure what the exact proper procedure is to do this any ideas? Thank you in advance guys

go to dealer. hand them your gun. they put it in their book, you no longer own it.

acquire long gun, bring it home.

the only issue would be if the long gun violates the MA AWB--otherwise you're GTG.

And file a form FA-10.

Contact an attorney that specializes in firearms law.

Now that is just stupid.
