Beautiful Model 1873 Springfield trapdoor. Really nice condition. I bought this from someone who helped liquidate a well known trapdoor collectors estate. Bore is clean with crisp rifling.
I researched the serial number and found that this rifle was delivered to western Pennsylvania in 1879. I wrote down some other info and will try to find it. Selling it because my collection is going a different direction.
Accessories;
*full set of Lee 45/70 Government dies.
* 20 rounds Of professionally loaded ammo. I believe it is loaded with unique powder and the recipe is specifically for old trapdoors. You could pull these and load with traditional black powder if you like. I could give you enough black powder if you are interested in doing so.
Price was $1200 now $850 cash.
